Sharing this picture

I thought it might be interesting to share this picture.  There are so many ways to frame pictures and this is one appears from time to time.  You will notice that the picture of the swans has a ‘deckle edge’. This edge needs to be kept visible in the finished framed picture and not covered by mountboard. In my last training workshop, I was asked how it is best to frame deckle edge pictures so I created this picture as a demonstration.  You can use photo corners to hold a picture in place though these corners will be visible. For this picture, I decided to use conservation linen tape. Four slits are made in the back mountboard and the tape is passed though from behind and this holds the picture in place. I like this method as it works really well. After the course, I gave this picture to my daughter as a surprise and she loves it.
