My most recent framing project definitely fits into the Golden Age of Glamour. It was during the design stage that Andy and I looked at the possible framing options for these five black and white pictures.
Initially, we looked at white frames but decided that black would be more appropriate. The black frame that suited the pictures wasn’t too wide and had a matt finish and that was the one that was chosen. The next choice was the mountboard. Clearly, this had to be a type of white that would match and complement the white in the picture. We found that SnowWhite mountboard looked exactly right.
I have three available glazing options for picture framing. The standard choice is 2mm float glass or there is diffused glass that removes a lot of reflected light so you have a better view of the picture. The best choice is Artglass which has a special coating to block UV light and eliminates a lot of reflected light. This was the option that was chosen for these pictures.
If you have any pictures that you would like framed I would be happy to help and discuss with you all the options to bring out the very best in your pictures.
